This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website, why we collect it, and the rights you have. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP / revDSG).

1. Who is responsible

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

2. What data we collect

• Waitlist sign-up: your email address, when you submit it to join the founding-batch list.
• Pre-order & checkout: your name, shipping address, email address and order details. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe — we never receive or store your full card number.
• Usage data: automatically collected technical data such as IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and interactions, via cookies and similar technologies (see section 4).

3. Why we use it

• To respond to your waitlist request and keep you informed about the founding batch.
• To process, fulfil and refund your pre-order.
• To measure and improve our advertising, including conversion tracking.
• To analyse and improve how the website works.
• To keep the site secure and meet legal obligations.

4. Cookies, tracking & third-party services

We use the following service providers, who process data on our behalf or as independent controllers. Some are based outside Switzerland, including in the United States. Where data is transferred abroad, we rely on recognised adequacy or appropriate safeguards such as the EU/Swiss Standard Contractual Clauses.

• Stripe — payment processing (Stripe Payments Europe / Stripe, Inc.).
• Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — advertising and conversion measurement. Sets cookies to attribute ad performance.
• Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corp.) — usage analytics and session insights.
• Formspree — handling of the waitlist form submission.
• Vercel — website hosting and delivery.

5. How to opt out

You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. You can manage personalised-ad settings directly with Meta in your Facebook/Instagram ad preferences, and opt out of Microsoft Clarity through the same browser controls. Disabling cookies may limit some site functionality.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law — for example, order and payment records for statutory accounting periods, and waitlist emails until you ask us to remove you.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email hello@stayklar.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or legal requirements change. The current version always applies, with the date shown at the top.
